Summary

BrainCo, a Chinese brain-computer interface company and one of the 'Hangzhou Six Tigers,' is in talks to raise funds at a valuation of over $1.3 billion and may conduct an IPO in Hong Kong or the Chinese mainland. The company, founded by Harvard alumnus Han Bicheng in 2015, has over 250 core patents and has achieved mass production of 100,000 products. BrainCo launched its Revo2 bionic smart hand in July 2025.

Why it matters

At a $1.3 billion valuation, BrainCo would be China's first BCI unicorn to go public, marking a significant milestone for the sector. The company's non-invasive BCI approach and bionic limb products address China's population of over 24 million people with physical disabilities.
