RIKEN publishes first single-neuron connectome of a primate visual cortex column

Using high-resolution electron microscopy and AI reconstruction, RIKEN published the first complete wiring diagram of a 1mm³ column of macaque visual cortex containing 120,000 neurons and 1.5 billion synapses.
