Clinical Trial
ARC-IM System to Manage Symptomatic Blood Pressure Instability Secondary to Chronic Spinal Cord Injury
ClinicalTrials.gov10/17/2025ยท10/17/25๐ USA
Summary
This study evaluates the ARC-IM implantable spinal cord stimulation system for managing symptomatic blood pressure instability secondary to spinal cord injury. The device delivers targeted epidural electrical stimulation to restore autonomic cardiovascular control in individuals with SCI who experience debilitating orthostatic hypotension.
Why it matters
Blood pressure instability is a major cause of morbidity and reduced quality of life after spinal cord injury. An implantable neuromodulation system that stabilizes cardiovascular function could be transformative for daily living and independence in the SCI community.
