China Daily6/11/2026ยท06/11/26๐ Asia
Summary
Chinese brain-computer interface company NeuroXess is preparing to begin operating a 14,300-square-meter manufacturing facility in Jiangxi province in H2 2026. The company has completed more than 50 clinical trials and is developing a fully implanted, wireless BCI system. Its first patient achieved a brain control speed of 5.2 bits per second after 17 days of training.
Why it matters
This signals China's transition from BCI research to industrial-scale production, positioning NeuroXess as a domestic competitor to Neuralink. The mass production capability could significantly accelerate patient access to BCI technology in China and globally.
