CoMind raises $60M for non-invasive optical brain monitoring technology
Summary
CoMind has raised $60 million in a funding round led by Plural, with participation from existing investors Angelini Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and LocalGlobe. The UK-based neurotechnology company develops CoMind One, the first device with the potential to non-invasively and continuously monitor brain blood flow, brain pressure, and other critical physiological parameters in a single measurement using low-power laser light.
Why it matters
CoMind's technology could replace invasive brain monitoring procedures that require drilling into the skull, offering a safer and more accessible alternative for intensive care units and operating rooms. The funding brings total capital raised to $102.5 million and will support US clinical trials, regulatory approval, and manufacturing partnerships as the company prepares to scale globally.
