Summary

Omniscient Neurotechnology has secured AUD 20 million ($13 million USD) as part of an ongoing AUD 36 million Series D funding round. Australia's National Reconstruction Fund Corporation is co-leading the round with OIF Ventures. The Sydney-based company uses AI to decode the human brain through connectomics, mapping individual brain connections from MRI scans via its FDA-cleared Quicktome platform.

Why it matters

Omniscient's brain-mapping technology is already improving patient outcomes at over 100 US hospitals and research institutions. The NRFC investment will help create over 40 new highly skilled jobs in AI, neuroscience, and product development in Australia, while supporting a five-year plan to establish a connectomics centre of excellence in Sydney and expand the company's US footprint.
