Neuro Event Labs raises €2.0M for AI-powered epilepsy seizure detection

Neuro Event Labs has raised a €2.0M financing round from new investor Catalyze Capital and existing investor Hadean Ventures. The Finnish health technology company develops Nelli, an AI-powered diagnostics and monitoring device for epilepsy that provides doctors with high-quality seizure data based on video and audio recordings collected in the patient's home or hospital environment.
Why it matters
With over 65 million patients suffering worldwide, epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases. The majority of patients could become seizure-free with appropriate treatment following proper diagnosis.
