Neuvotion Launches First FDA-Cleared Product From Its Brain-Body Interface Platform

BioSpace7/27/2026ยท23d ago๐ŸŒ USA

Summary

Neuvotion, founded by Chad Bouton to commercialize the research behind his Feinstein Institutes 'double neural bypass' work, announced its first FDA-cleared product: NeuStim, a non-invasive, AI-guided electrical muscle stimulation device for stroke and spinal cord injury recovery, set to launch this fall. NeuStim is the initial offering in a planned Brain-Body Interface portfolio that will eventually combine wearable muscle stimulation, spinal neuromodulation, and minimally invasive BCI technology. The company says the AI guidance can infer a user's movement intention and adjust stimulation targets accordingly, without requiring manual electrode repositioning.

Why it matters

This is the first commercial product to emerge from Bouton's two decades of bioelectronic medicine research, testing whether academically validated neurorecovery techniques can translate into a scalable clinical product.
