Irvine-based ClearPoint Neuro secured $35M from Northpond Ventures and OrbiMed to expand their MRI-guided neurosurgery platform into gene therapy and cell therapy delivery navigation. ClearPoint's SmartFrame system is now being used by 15 gene therapy companies for CNS delivery, and the round funds development of a real-time therapy distribution monitoring capability using gadolinium convection tracking.
